A conservative view on history as we make it

Just thinking...

I was just reading the local news and thought, do all child molesters come from Indiana? It appears that way, and they're all teachers too, as if it couldn't get any worse. Maybe it's just a sick coincidence but I've seen at least five stories about child predators who teach in Indiana in the last month. Funny thing is, I always viewed Indiana as a sort of run down state where sex offenders like to go because it's in the middle of nowhere. That would be nice if we could lure them all there and just bomb the shit out of it. Anyway, Indiana definately doesn't make the list of good states to start a family in.

BEIRUT, Lebanon, March 26 - A car bomb exploded in a predominantly Christian neighborhood in eastern Beirut on Saturday night, the eve of Easter, wounding at least five people and destroying two factories.
The bomb, which went off about 9:30 p.m. in the Sid al Bushriya neighborhood, was the third attack on a Christian neighborhood in a week.

Terry Schiavo's parents leaving the Federal courthouse

Few options left

TAMPA, Fla., March 25 - A Federal District Court judge here today refused, for a second time, to order that a feeding tube be reinserted into the severely brain-damaged Terri Schiavo, and with time and options running out, Ms. Schiavo's parents turned again to the federal appeals court in Atlanta. The Schindler family after visiting Terry

Schiavo saved?

It's now all up to a judge who, coincidently, was nominated by president Clinton, to issue an order to reinsert the feeding tube that is vital to Terry Schiavo's life.

Rehnquist Returns

WASHINGTON (AP) - Ailing Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist feels well enough to return to the bench for the first time in five months, a court spokeswoman said Monday.
Rehnquist, 80, planned to sit for two hour-long arguments Monday, when the court returned from a two-week break, Kathy Arberg said. "He'll be there," she said.

Terry Schiavo's family

Thank God

Congress is working hard and fast to get legislation passed so Terry Schiavo may have a chance to live. This is definately about defending life. The bill would allow time for the Federal courts to review Mrs. Schiavo's case and hopefully rule against her husband. Click on the title for more information.

Pro Life forever!!!

Democrats Win!!!

A Judge in Florida has ordered that Terry Schiavo's feeding tube be removed thus ending an almost decade long battle between Terry's husband and parents over whether Terry should die. Democrats can now claim victory in their pro-choice stance, but don't celebrate too early... Mrs. Schiavo can survive for as long as weeks without a feeding tube before starving and dehydrating to death. Oh... yeah, congratulations on that one.

Israel

Absolutely Beautiful... unless you're Iran

Told You So...

ISRAEL has drawn up secret plans for a combined air and ground attack on targets in Iran if diplomacy fails to halt the Iranian nuclear programme. The inner cabinet of Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister, gave “initial authorization” for an attack at a private meeting last month on his ranch in the Negev desert. Israeli forces have used a mock-up of Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment plant in the desert to practise destroying it. Their tactics include raids by Israel’s elite Shaldag (Kingfisher) commando unit and airstrikes by F-15 jets from 69 Squadron, using bunker-busting bombs to penetrate underground facilities.

Flag of Lebanon

End Syrian occupation

Freedom

Syria Must Leave

Peace

Middle East Peace?

No, I don't think so.. but it does get closer every day. At least for the past few weeks it's been looking that way. Syria, Saudi Arabia and Libya are the furthest away from freedom but that doesn't mean that progress has not shone through. Above are some pictures from Lebanon. The Democrats aren't capable of producing results like this.

Syrian warfare

Is Syria Gaining Some Sense?

Probably not. Apperantly, President Bashar al-Assad plans to call parliament into session on Saturday to possibly talk of troop withdrawl from Lebanon. This was reported by the official Syrian press agency, SANA. This comming amid growing international as well as local pressure on Mr. al-Assad's government. Whether this is just another Syrian ploy or the real thing could have much effect on relations within the Middle East. Of coarse, the United States is calling for Syria to withdrawl from Lebanon and so is an unlikely supporter.... France. Syria began plans to withdrawl almost fifteen years ago. What has changed in that time isn't quite clear to me yet. Perhaps Syria will one day try and call Lebanon its own. It wouldn't suprise me.

Here Come the Losers

Lately, it's been pretty hard to not find any news about President Bush and his plan for Social Security. It's rather hilarious how the liberal media has begun to pick away at every single aspect of the plan yet they have no response when asked what should happen instead. Consistant headlines are running proclaiming " Can Bush Win " or "Will Bush fail". The New York Times just conducted a poll stating that the majority of Americans feel out of step with Bush's policies. The truth is that Bush already won America's support when he got re-elected. Like it or not, but President Bush is going to find a way to gain bipartisan support and pass whatever measures or bills he needs to get the job done. Here's the deal on the New York Times' poll anyways. Only a little over 1100 people were surveyed. That alone is enough reason to dismiss any results. Besides that, the numbers were so close to borderline that the margin of error could give a completely different result and swung everyone in favor of Bush's plan. But that wouldn't have made the news, would it? Sometimes these polls are put together so quick just to start some news and their done so sloppy that it makes the reporting agency look like shit. The variations in the wording of questions can also be quite misleading. For example, of coarse an overwhelming majority would be against private accounts if it COST THEM MONEY. That's one of the more obvious ones. So much for good journalism.
