A message to evolutionists

So we just happened to evolve slowly through time from apes down to reptiles to fish to microrganisms who emerged from a mere fate in time on an earth that just happened to exist from a universe that just is. Among a myriad of other possibilities, our existence could not be if our core was not liquid iron, if the crust did not move, if our atmosphere was anything but, if trees never grew, if oceans did not wave, if rain did not fall, if the sun was not bright, if the atom could not be contained and if man had any other premonition than to perpetuate life for a reason yet untold. Our existence rests on an inconcievable amount of pure luck and odds that defy any realm of our limited yet cherished perpetual knowledge. Well, I think it's time to thank God for all of that.

Palestinian suicide atatck

Palestinian Arrogance

For the most part, Palestinians are pieces of shit. Is this racist? Fuck no, the majority of you fuck ups are secretly condoling bombings like the one in Tel Aviv. Don't try and hide it, the world sees right through you. Israel never had to begin peace negotiations... as a matter of fact, Israel could have taken their entire country a long time ago and left you fools for society to deal with. They aren't looking for peace because you like bombs and they don't, it's because they have something that Palestinians don't.... a heart. What you arrogant pricks don't realize is that you're probably the most disregarded society on the planet. I say rightfully so. Palestine breeds terrorism and death. It's really a joke of a nation. Even the peaceful minority shows sympathy for their suicide brothers. That's what I mean by you're all pieces of shit. We know that deep down you consider suicide bombers a vital piece of your society and that secretly you jump for joy everytime one of them explodes. Funny thing is, that's half the reason for racism in the first place. You have to stop supporting your fellow fuck-ups. I'm sure Alah is really applauding all that you have done. Come on, time to look forward and see the real light. Thousands of years ago, Israelis and Palestinians were but one people. At least in a genelogical sense. What happened after that is anyones story. But here's a message from me and alot of other Americans. Since you admire suicide so blatantly, go home and shoot yourself. The world would love you forever then.

The attack near Tel Aviv's beachfront today shattered a truce that had largely been holding.

Middle East Peace Effort Shattered

A Palestinian suicide bomber exploded himself amongst a group of young Israelis waiting in line for a night club on February 25 in Tel Aviv. The blast has reportedly injured numerous people and killed at least 3. Casualties are expected to rise. This comming just two weeks after the Palestinian Authority pledged to stop attacks on Israel and open the way for peace talks.

Supreme Court Ruling

In regards to Illinois v. Caballes, the U.S. Supreme Court made an outstanding and respectable decision. Critics will argue that the conservative court will do anything to affirm the rights of officers in law enforcement. My opinion is.... and why not? Today's police have one of the hardest jobs; not just by nature, but legally as well. With numerous holdings on cases benifiting the private citizen from previous courts, decisions such as this one are crucial to make sure that the officers maintain their safety as well as superiority. The liberals who oppose such a measure as having a dog walk around someones car must either be drug trafficking or they simply hate cops. It's not like officers would bring out the dog on everyone.... just the people who deserve it.

Atlantis crew

NASA Set to Launch

(CNN) -- More than two years after losing the space shuttle Columbia and its seven crew, NASA said Friday it has set May 15 as its target date for once again launching shuttles into space. NASA said Discovery's launch is to be followed by a July 12 Atlantis launch. Discovery's crew of seven is to be led by Commander Eileen Collins. The shuttle fleet has been grounded since Columbia broke apart over Texas while on landing approach to Florida's Kennedy Space Center on February 1, 2003. In August 2003, the Columbia Accident Investigation Board officially concluded that insulating foam flew off the shuttle's external fuel tank during liftoff, striking and cracking a panel on the orbiter's wing. When the shuttle re-entered the atmosphere, searing hot gases seeped into the wing and incinerated the spacecraft. Because of these restrictions there are only a limited number of opportunities to launch the space shuttle. The first starts May 15 and runs through June 3, when NASA hopes to launch Discovery. The second window opens July 12, when NASA hopes to launch Atlantis. Discovery and Atlantis will be so-called rescue shuttles for each other should something go wrong. NASA has been readying both shuttles side by side. The daylight launch restriction may be lifted if both Discovery and Atlantis go up without any critical debris falling off the external tank during liftoff. NASA has been testing a new radar which it claims day or night has a better eye than optical cameras for debris shedding from the external tank. "I'd be very surprised if we had any damage as a result of debris shedding. ... We will be flying much more safely than we've ever flown before," Bill Readdy, NASA associate administrator, told reporters Friday. Both the Discovery and Atlantis missions will be test flights to the international space station to demonstrate the shuttle is once again safe to fly.

President Bush and Senator Christopher Dodd share a laugh

Bush signs legislation

Friday, February 18, 2005.. President Bush signed legislation today aimed at discouraging multi-million dollar class-action lawsuits. He made very clear that his goals were for broader restraints as well. Next on his agenda, is to stop frivilous suits involving asbestos and medical malpractice. He was surrounded by a group of bi-partisan lawmakers as he signed the bill that has been strongly opposed by consumer groups and trial lawyers. Under the bill, class-action suits seeking $5 million or more would be heard in state court only if the primary defendant and more than one-third of the plaintiffs are from the same state. The president devotes a significant chunk of his time to attacking what he calls "junk and frivolous lawsuits". On Friday, he said such unnecessary litigation, particularly over medical and asbestos claims, is the reason that America's tort system -- at more than $240 billion a year -- is the largest of any industrialized nation. The result, Bush said, is small business owners in constant fear of bankruptcy and doctors leaving their practices. President Bush stated, "We're making important progress toward a better legal system,'' during an East Room signing ceremony for the class-action bill. "There's more to do.''
Yes, Mr. President, there is alot more to do.

The Bush Policy

Although President Bush is definately not the first President to propose a rather radical change, privatizing social security remains a formidable platform for him. It will, without a doubt, be very tough for him to pull it off. And yes, I'm totally for it.. I don't want to have to pay social security all my life and then turn 62 and find out I get nothing. Private investments are a genius way to keep it running. No body knows where or how to invest your money better than you do. I believe if he is to make the neccessary changes, that it should come quite swiftly. In 2006, we have elections for numerous governors and other officials, but more importantly, the entire House and 1/3 of the Senate is up for grabs as well. The last 2 years of a Presidents term tend not to go so well, especially for a second and final term. Let's take a look at a few of them. Woodrow Wilson, a great President (one of only few Democrats I can say that about). He accomplished alot but failed to win approval of the Versailles treaty ending WW I. FDR failed to pack the Supreme Court and failed (in the off-year elections) to purge his party of conservatives.
Harry Truman had Korea to deal with, Ike was caught lying to the public about the U-2 flights over Russia, Nixon had Watergate, Reagan had Iran-contra and Clinton had Monica. Nevertheless, I believe that this President is above lying to the public or anyone for that matter. He sees no sense in it, as there is none. This is a major contributing factor to the nation being astounded at some of Bush's actions. Take Iraq for example... we did strike rather boldly (and that's how we do things in this country.. it's simple, you talk and negotiate or you better run and hide in a hole). Yet, what was President Bush to do, tell everyone that Iraq is doing fine and that Saddam is a good guy deep down? I hope that if this administration has any premonition on what we're going to do with Iran or Korea, that it be let known immediately... and let the public slowly realize that what seems like irresponsible action is just an excellent decision that takes time to produce results.

Superbowl XXXIX

With the Superbowl just four hours away now, I decided to talk a little about sports and maybe throw in a prediction while I'm stuck at work until just before the kickoff. The New England Patriots are the obvious favorite over the Philadelphia Eagles, but don't count anyone out too soon. This game could very well be one of the most exciting games in a long time. At least, that's what we all hope for, right? The art of sport is a dream in modern times. A dream that has captivated millions. Sport has often reflected on the many social changes that the world has gone through and may continue to do so. Its beginnings probably lie with the first humans themselves who wanted to increase their skills and physical abilities most likely for survival purposes. Throughout the ages, sport has represented everything from individual freedom to the glory and pride of a nation. The Greeks brought alot of repect and glory into sports with the Olympics, which were held in respect to the 'Gods'. The olympics were a time of peace even during conflicts, a place where athletes could compete without killing one another. A byproduct of the Indutrial Revolution and mass production was increased leisure which allowed increases in spectator sports, less elitism in sports, and greater accessibility. Presently, the growing medium of global communications and mass media have contributed tremendously to the popularity of sports.
As for the Superbowl, it's a great culmination for football.. but it's sad to see the season go so quickly. Of course there's the AFC-NFC game, which really doesn't mean much. I like what the MLB did with making their All-Star game winner represent the league that gets more home games in the World Series. The NFL should get clever like that. Nevertheless, football remains to me one of the greatest sports ever invented. Not that I'm any good or anything. So who do I think is going to win? The Patriots are strong, defending champions, and my uncle is from Boston. On the other hand, the Eagles have determination on their side as well as McNabb.. who's from Chicago. So I really don't know who's going to take this one; It could go either way... but that is the beauty of sport.

Representative Nancy Pelosi (D)

The Democratic Response

What a bunch of bull shit. We don't need an exit strategy for Iraq, we need to keep the decision making to this administration. That was so horrible how the House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California gave a sort of rebuttal speech in response to the Presidents State of the Union address. Here's a link to the entire response -
