The Real Problem

I was recently asked what my opinions were on the Guantanamo Bay issue. Funny, I don't consider it an issue. As long as Democrats keep focusing on what's least important just to get a rise out of the liberal media, we might as well be fighting for nothing. You know, Democrats are approxamately half the country. Without their unanimous support, these initiatives and other measures will turn into their own self-fufilling prophecies. Iraq cannot be won without the support of more Americans. Guantanamo will remain a place of indefinate holding without the support of more Americans, and freedom will spread alot slower without the support of more Americans. The real issue at hand here is not whether Bush's or the Republican's plans will succeed;the true concern is whether Democrats will one day help us instead of fight us. If something goes wrong in the Republican agenda, it's not like the other side was right... just that they would never help correct any problems (bitching doesn't count). With both sides working together, alot of problems might work themselves out. It's almost pointless for me to be writing, however. It isn't like anyone important will read this and/or do something about it. No one wants to actually do anything, we all just want to sit here and talk about it. We're so brilliant aren't we?
