Mastercard Fumbles... Loses the Ball

MasterCard International has reported that more than 40 million credit card accounts of various shapes and sizes might have been exposed to fraud via a computer security breech at a payment processing company. All we can do is sit back, and say "wow". 40 million is a rather large number. That's an eighth of the American population. This is comming in at a time when just about every other company is losing confidential data tapes and private customer information. However, this could very well be the biggest case of stolen data to date. (tounge twister?)
MasterCard said its analysts and law enforcement officials had identified a pattern of fraudulent charges that were traced to an intrusion at CardSystems Solutions of Tucson, Ariz., which processes more than $15 billion in payments for small to midsize merchants and financial institutions each year.

It's nice to know we can trust you, MasterCard.
